Of Leroy, Mina says in part, ‘In 1966, at the age of 21, with a Leica M2 and around $200 in her pocket, Parisian Catherine Leroy (1944-2006) bought a one way ticket to Vietnam. Despite having no previous experience as a photographer, Leroy sought to give the Vietnam War a “human face”. …’
