THE TINTYPE STUDIO
tumblr_meq0poJpUw1qkt8ozo1_500-smToronto’s Tintype Studio revisits a historical photographic tradition, creating a unique image on a metal surface. The Tintype Studio revives this process in its traditional context, the outdoor fair, by offering a fun, participatory, and retro take on the instant photograph. Its tintype portrait service and period-style booth give the public a chance to experience a chapter in the history of photography and take a piece home with them.  The studio members are Miles Collyer, Stu Sakai, Paul Sergeant and Greg Snow.  Join us tonight and discovery beauty of this old process that dates back to the wet-plate era and has survived in the hands of these modern day Tintype photographers.

The public is welcome.  Go to our Programs page for times and directions.
