Toronto. When I opened my Globe and Mail at breakfast Tuesday. I was delighted to find Norm Rosen’s latest photo magazine inside. And its a beauty! The blue and white motif captures winter as I remember it up north of here.
I last posted an article with links here on issue 27-3. One thing that struck me in reading this issue is that digital photography is firmly entrenched as main stream. One article by Daniel Dupont on the Histogram continues on from last issue. Another covers metadata and how it can simplify searches for an image if wisely selected. Impossible in the days of film.
All my film negative sleeves have dates, subjects, locations, etc. noted and are filed in date order. However, one needs patience and a good memory to find a specific negative. Metadata on scans make such searches far simpler and faster.
Enjoy this issue and check out the links in the post about 27-3. If you don’t happen to get a major newspaper like the Globe, check your local newsstand for 27-4, or wait a bit and check out the PHOTONews website.
