a Gundlach Manhattan Optical Korona Petit camera – lot 90 in our May 3, 2026 auction
Toronto. This little beauty’s one of a number of different sized cameras made by the Gundlach Manhattan Optical Company in Rochester NY under the Korona banner.
The Korona trade mark was acquired by Gundlach in 1896 went it bought out the Milburn Korona Company, shortly before their merger with Manhattan Optical to form the Gundlach Manhattan Optical Company.
The Korona Petit (not spelled petite) was sold up here in the Eaton catalogue.
The camera was made in a few variations like with or without rack and pinion focussing. Shown at left is Lot 90 from our coming May 3rd, 2026 spring Estate auction.
