Tracking the sun

My good friend George Dunbar sent me a brief note today about the NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day for March 26, 2016. This site linked here is NASA’s picture of the day archive. You can browse back daily to June 1995 and see what picture NASA felt was worthy of promotion that day.

Today’s picture shows how Hungarian photographer Oliver Nagy recorded the sun’s path each day from the winter solstice last December to the spring solstice a few days ago using a pin hole camera and Kodak paper. He calls the result solargraphy Check it out!
