The Turofsky Brothers

NEXT TORONTO MEETING: Wednesday, Nov 21, 2012.
Jim Trautman: Lou and Nat Turofsky, Toronto Sports Photographers

Trautman by Lansdale

Jim spoke with us back in January 2010 about Aerial Photography and his favourite aircraft, the huge Pan American Clippers of WW2 era fame. Tonight he will be introducing the story of the legendary Turofsky brothers, the famous Toronto sports photographers of the last century.

Amongst other pictures, the Turofskys took the photographs that were used in the Beehive Hockey card series. Beehive products were made by  St Lawrence Starch in the GTA. Their hockey card promotion ran for three decades starting in the mid 1930s.

The public is always welcome.  Go to our Programs page for times and directions.
