Toronto. Collectors of old photos often either specialize or group their collection into subsets such as medicine. At left is a relatively recent image (early 2012) of the effects of a cerebellum stroke – too recent to be a collectible image (such strokes affect one’s fine motor skills, balance, etc.).
As the image at left shows, one possible subset could be medical photos – operating theatres, physicians, medical apparatus, patients, etc. (an early record of a Boston, MA operating theatre was captured by Daguerreotype).
Our annual events are a terrific way to discover old photos, equipment, etc. to add to any collection. As fall approaches we embark once again on our 2026 events. As each date approaches, a poster and details will be pinned to the top of this site.
