Toronto. Visitation for the late Harry Joy will take place Sunday, October 25th at the Turner and Porter home, Windermere and Bloor West in Bloor West Village. Hours of visitation will be 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm.
Mr Joy was cremated this week and his family plan to bury his ashes next June on his birthday. Mr Joy was pre-deceased by his wife and his younger brother, John Joy, the well-known artist.

HARRY JOY Passed peacefully at Wesburn Manor on September 28, 2015 at age 98. Beloved husband of Nelle (deceased) and special friend of Jean (deceased), beloved father of Sandra (Wayne) and Wayne (Cathy), proud grandfather of Kristin (Stephen) and Alyson (Gianmichael) and happy great-grandfather of Jacob and Isaac Carrier will be missed by many relatives and friends. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents from the Ukraine and educated at Central Technical School in Toronto where he founded and operated his company, Joy Studios, for six decades. Visitation will be on October 25, 2015 at Turner & Porter’s Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice or The Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund would be appreciated.
