Kurt <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kurtiswarienko.com\">Iswarienko<\/a> in a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/petapixel.com\/2016\/11\/08\/digital-darkroom-going-digital-killed-photographys-artistry\/\">article<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/petapixel.com\">PetaPixel<\/a> discussed the digital darkroom. Basically, the article noted that while moving from chemistry to pixels meant an easier task to transform a shot, it still took a professional photographer to make the results turn out pleasingly\u00a0as a photograph.<\/p>\n<p>This reminded me that back in January, 2003, after a\u00a0talk at the PHSC meeting by George Hunter &#8220;<em>Tales of a Photographer&#8221;<\/em>,\u00a0I watched in fascination as Bob Lansdale took a <a href=\"http:\/\/phsc.ca\/howdidoit.html\">portrait<\/a> of our speaker using a Kodak digital point-and-shoot &#8211; plus over a half century of experience!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto.
