He works with the AMC collection in Toronto, serving as researcher and conservator. \u00a0He has researched and written on the studio practice of Southworth and Hawes (Boston) for the <em>Young America<\/em> catalogue and for the <em>Daguerreian Society annual<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>He has made Daguerreotypes to support conservation research for the George Eastman House, The Metropolitan Museum, the Library of Congress and his own initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Come on out and share an interesting evening with Mike. The public is welcome. \u00a0Go to our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/phsc.ca\/camera\/?page_id=34\">Programs<\/a>\u00a0page for times and directions.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Mike teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in 19th Century Photographic Processes at Ryerson University in Toronto and has taught Daguerreotype workshops in Canada, the United States, England and France. He is well known to members of this society as its president for the period 2003 &#8211; 2005.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Mike is currently\u00a0a PhD candidate with DeMontfort University in Leicester, UK.
