A sub set of many photo collections is portraits of famous people &#8211; usually in politics or entertainment. We should see more famous people outside these two genres like those of the scientific world such as <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Michael_Faraday#\">Michael Faraday<\/a> (digitized image at left) or well known photographers and those pivotal in the early \u00a0photographic industry.<\/p>\n<p>Our events this year offer many items and photos &#8211; not necessarily those mentioned above, \u00a0We now have three 2026 events under our belt. Next in line is our outdoor event, the Trunk Sale on July 12th.<\/p>\n<p>This year we will be using the lawn at Legion Hall 101 in Long Branch (the hall has been our auction venue for the past few years).<\/p>\n<p>We will pin a poster and details up on this site later in June. As usual, there will be many items to tweak your photographic interest &#8211; and enhance your collection\/user gear.<\/p>\n<p>NB: The title of this post is a riff on a popular local stage group called the <a href=\"https:\/\/famouspeopleplayers.com\/\">Famous People Players<\/a> (I once met a player on the subway diligently rehearsing his lines).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto.
