And speaking of trees, people are flocking to High Park here in the big smoke to see the annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.com\/things-to-do\/cherry-blossoms-toronto-high-park-peak-bloom-may-2026\/article_69835738-bc90-5aa3-8114-b5306d6814aa.html\">Japanese Cherry Blossoms<\/a> that peak in early May. The trees are a gift from Japan back in the late 1950s.<\/p>\n<p>Image collectors may consider trees a subset of their image collection. Please note, the image at left is far too new, to be a collectible. It was taken a few days ago with an iPhone 16.<\/p>\n<p>While digital gives excellent colour in both detail and balance, it has a major down-side: most of the photos taken live as files-only, located on a smartphone or computer. Very few seem to be printed.<\/p>\n<p>Attend our 2026 events to discover old photos of trees and other subjects. Next up is our Spring Fair, which has been popular here for over 50 years.
