Browsing Through Our Exchanges<\/p><\/div>\n

Toronto<\/strong>. The late Bob Lansdale as our editor worried that exchange journals sat unnoticed in our storage. Certainly I did not know about them until I became an executive member. At the time such journals were given limited circulation.<\/p>\n

Bob came up with the idea of taking a summary of selected journals and featuring the summaries in a new column called, “Browsing Our Exchanges” always ending with an urging to ‘see our librarian” to borrow a copy.<\/p>\n

In issue 24-4, the column was written by Ev Roseborough. He began the column as follows, “Zeiss Historica<\/i>, journal of the Zeiss\u00a0Historica Society, Fall \u201898, focuses on theatre glasses and special telescopes.\u00a0Biographies of Dr. Erhardt Glatzel, Dr.\u00a0Kurt Michel and Wolfgang F. Jacobi will\u00a0interest photo historians.<\/p>\n

“Viewfinder<\/i>, the Leica Historical\u00a0Society quarterly, third quarter 1998, contains an important article on the [Leitz] Stemar by Harold Tichenor of North Vancouver B.C.\u00a0Stereo enthusiasts take note. Walter Kluck,\u00a0who was V.P. of Leitz Midland ON, and his\u00a0role in saving the Leica M <\/b>Series is told\u00a0by Rolf Fricke.” …<\/p>\n
