The writing for this camera says, “<\/span>Mystery ‘Ar<\/span>gus’ <\/span>camera which h<\/span>as\u00a0<\/span>brevittato <\/i><\/span>sta<\/span>mp<\/span>ed <\/span>on <\/span>the <\/span>front (<\/span>Itali<\/span>a<\/span>n <\/span>for\u00a0<\/span>patented). With an E<\/span>quator anast<\/span>i<\/span>g<\/span>m<\/span>at f\/6.3 <\/span>50 <\/span>mm <\/span>K<\/span>ori<\/span>stka l<\/span>en<\/span>s, <\/span>u<\/span>sed unp<\/span>erf<\/span>or<\/span>ated\u00a0fi<\/span>lm. <\/span>Chr<\/span>i<\/span>s <\/span>H<\/span>a<\/span>l<\/span>e <\/span>thinks it <\/span>mi<\/span>g<\/span>ht <\/span>ha<\/span>ve <\/span>been\u00a0m<\/span>ade by <\/span>Kr<\/span>au<\/span>s.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, McKeowns do not list the little camera as an Argus model. Since Koristka is an Italian lens, the cameras is likely Italian as the patent stamp suggests. the small image is from issue 21-4 while the large image is the journal photo upscaled in Topaz Photo AI which has a ways to go. It’s getting there … slowly (some upscales are extraordinarily well done).<\/p>\n
