George Dunbar sent me an email recently regarding another source of photo-history. George writes, &#8220;Another unique online archive gallery <a href=\"https:\/\/ehive.com\/collections\/4819\/objects\/248328\/photograph-album-soltau-pow-camp-germany\">here<\/a>. The site uses eHive which is a CMS (Collection\/Content Management System) like WordPress. In fact there is a <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/ehive-search\/\">plug-in<\/a> for WordPress. eHive was created by <a href=\"https:\/\/vernonsystems.com\/\">Vernon Systems<\/a> in New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>They say on their website, &#8220;Vernon Systems has more than 30 years\u2019 experience in creating software for the museum, gallery and cultural heritage sectors.\u00a0 Our systems are used around the world by institutions to catalogue, manage and publish information about collections.<\/p>\n<p>You can join SHMA and share images with others. The example shown here is a POW camp in Germany during WW1. It is from the &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/ehive.com\/collections\/4819\/sovereign-hill-museums-association\">Sovereign Hill Museums Association<\/a>&#8216; in Australia (the SMHA above). This photo is of personal interest as my wife&#8217;s two grandfathers fought in WW1 along with some of my relatives.<\/p>\n<p>Image collectors may find this site and others using eHive helpful in their research.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto.
