The idea of using a digital sensor rather than a film coated with a sensitive medium revolutionized photography.<\/p>\n<p>Before digital technology as we know it today, fax machines and television were (and still are) capable of sending photographs or videos to remote locations for viewing. \u00a0They suffer from being monochrome (fax) and relatively lower resolution (both).<\/p>\n<p>Now it is time for the lens design to be revolutionized. Russ Forfar, my friend from up Owen Sound way, sent me a link to an article on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freethink.com\/\">Freethink<\/a> website titled, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.freethink.com\/hard-tech\/salt-grain-micro-camera?utm_term=Autofeed&amp;utm_campaign=echobox_freethink&amp;utm_medium=Social&amp;utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1680687751\">New salt-grain sized <mark class=\"highlight\">micro camera<\/mark> takes images on par with a full size camera\u2019s<\/a>&#8220;. Or as Randy Bachman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SH8Aag7Z06U\">sang<\/a>, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/You_Ain%27t_Seen_Nothing_Yet_(Bachman\u2013Turner_Overdrive_song)\">You Ain&#8217;t Seen Nothing Yet<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>It is amazing just how much photography has changed since I first learnt the art. Darkrooms and delays have been replaced by full colour and instantaneous positive views from right here or worlds away!
