Back on July 1st, 2017 <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.linkedin.com\/in\/alice-evans-ba06aba2\">Alice Evans<\/a> wrote an article featuring photographs from 1867 and a few years later to show how we looked around confederation.<\/p>\n<p>The photos and article appeared in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/ushome\/index.html\">Daily Mail<\/a>. The title of the article is a bit long winded: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-4656898\/Photos-Canada-looked-1867.html\">Birth of a nation: On Canada Day fascinating photographs show how the wild untamed country looked when it first came into being in 1867<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>In those pre-COVID days of 2017, we had a <a href=\"https:\/\/phsc.ca\/camera\/celebrating-150-years-of-canadian-photo-history\/\">program<\/a> celebrating the 150th anniversary of the founding of our country.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, connect to this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-4656898\/Photos-Canada-looked-1867.html\">link<\/a> at the Daily Mail website and see, &#8220;the way we were&#8221;.
