When America joined in against the Axis in WW2, the Hollywood studios and British studios made movies to support government involvement (and keep some actors at home). \u00a0The scene at left is a still promoting the movie &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0035796\/\">Desert Victory<\/a>&#8221; that was released c1943.<\/p>\n<p>The full ad encourages the reader to buy\/use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madeinchicagomuseum.com\/single-post\/devry-corp\/\">DeVry<\/a> movie cameras (used to record the film, a British documentary) and movie projectors.
