Ms Schulman lived for 101 exciting years. She was born\u00a0Faigel Lazebnik on Nov. 28, 1919, in Lenin, a Polish town near the Russian border. She died here in Toronto just over a century later.<\/p>\n<p>Read about her exciting life in the Globe and Mail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/world\/article-photographer-lived-in-the-forest-with-resistance-fighters-during-the\/\">obituary<\/a> written in some detail by Mr \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/authors\/tu-thanh-ha\/\">Tu Thanh Ha<\/a> back on May 5th. \u00a0She lived in Europe during the war, evading Nazi extermination and eventually fleeing to Russia. She married and with her husband emigrated to Canada in 1948. settling in Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>My thanks to our president Lewko (Clint) Hryhorijiw for alerting me on Ms Schulman and her accomplishments.
