One of the 19th century photographers I admire is <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eug\u00e8ne_Atget\">Eugene Atget<\/a>. My friend and fellow PHSC member Russ Forfar sent me a note on Atget <em>et al<\/em> recently.<\/p>\n<p>Russ said that the Paris, France museums (some 14) have collectively decided to put some 60,000 plus famous photographs online and free to be used by all.<\/p>\n<p>Russ sent me a link to the story in this <a href=\"https:\/\/petapixel.com\">petapixel<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/petapixel.com\/2020\/01\/28\/paris-museums-put-60000-historic-photos-online-copyright-free\/\">article<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/petapixel.com\/author\/michaelczhang\/\">Michael Zhang<\/a>.
