Anscochrome touted its film as being &#8220;faster than standard black-and-white film&#8221; on pp32-3 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.ca\/books?id=Hj8EAAAAMBAJ&amp;printsec=frontcover&amp;source=gbs_ge_summary_r&amp;cad=0#v=onepage&amp;q&amp;f=false\">June 17, 1957 issue of LIFE<\/a>. With ads like this, the <em>Binghamton Brigade set<\/em> out to tell the world about their marvellous products.<\/p>\n<p>As number two in the photography industry, Ansco always had to try harder to catch up with Kodak.
