This time Russ sent me a note on a new book by the British photographer <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adrian_Bradshaw_(photographer)\">Adrian Bradshaw<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apbphotoblog.wordpress.com\">Adrian<\/a> has been interested in China for decades. His book, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.impress-publishing.com\/the-door-opened-1980s-china.html\"><em>The Door Opened: 1980s China<\/em><\/a>&#8221; was published in 2018 by Impress, London.\u00a0An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/in-pictures-49151953\">article<\/a> on Bradshaw and the book was posted online by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\">BBC<\/a> News a few days ago on August 8th.<\/p>\n<p>The article and Bradshaw&#8217;s photographs offer an insight into the middle kingdom, all the more relevant with Trump&#8217;s current trade bun-fight and the t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate with us and China over a Huawei executive and Canadians in China.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto.
