So <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dlac7_WmL7E\">sang<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stompin%27_Tom_Connors\">Stompin&#8217; Tom<\/a> in his 1972 <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Moon-Man_Newfie\">response<\/a> to Neil Armstrong&#8217;s epic adventure 50 years ago today when the Ohio native became the first man to walk on the moon.<\/p>\n<p>A tip of the hat to the brave trio of Americans who first ventured around and on the moon a half century ago on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontariosciencecentre.ca\/apollo50\/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx_CevrC84wIVCVYMCh0jJw8uEAAYASAAEgL6F_D_BwE\">Apollo 11<\/a>: Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Mike Collins. Ironically, the only one not to walk on the moon at that time (he did later) was <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Apollo_11\">Mike Collins<\/a>, the sole survivor today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto. &#8230;but the man in the moon is a Newfie.
