In 1957 an Engineer at M.I.T. perfected this image of the corona created by a drop of milk falling on a flat surface. The image, by Dr Harold Edgerton, is one of 100 images chosen by TIME magazine. The story behind each image in the 100 is told by a short essay and some times a video like the one about Edgerton and his high speed photos and movies.<\/p>\n<p>We often hear of Edgerton&#8217;s jaw dropping images taken with a ultra fast electronic flash and a camera with a special shutter, now we can hear and see the steps that led to this fascination with every day things that happen too fast for the human eye to see.<\/p>\n<p>My thanks to George Dunbar for discovering this nifty site and the story behind TIME magazine&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/100photos.time.com\/photos\/harold-edgerton-milk-drop\">100 Most Influential Photographs<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto.
