\n TOM BOCHSLER and BOB CHAMBERS – 115 Years of Photography<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tom explains, \u201cOur presentation is about so many different things. Basically it is a broad overview of our multi-faceted careers, mostly showing dramatic images, accompanied by much description of same, with the expectation of fielding many interesting comments and questions from the savvy members of the PHSC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom\u2019s career began in Hamilton where he photographed all his assignments with a 4×5 Speed Graphic. He moved on from flashbulbs to electronic flash, and his work horse camera became the venerable Hasselblad. Social and press photography evolved\u00a0into commercial and industrial. In fact, his specialty became industrial photography which he found challenging and satisfying creating images his clients thought were impossible.<\/p>\n

Bob Chambers entered photography with a summer job as an assistant photographer at The Welland Tribune. <\/em>He was asked to stay on permanently – and spent thirty-one years as a newspaper photographer (mostly at the Hamilton Spectator<\/em>) with assignments taking him to places like the Caribbean, California and even London, England – where he photographed the wedding of Charles and Diana. In 1988, he started his own business in Burlington doing advertising and industrial photography and collaborating with \u00a0Tom\u00a0Bochsler Photography on many assignments.<\/p>\n
