She has investigated how photography questions and interprets reality in her photographic practice and academic research.\u00a0This talk on her thesis (summarized in issue 44-2 of the <em>Photographic Canadiana<\/em>) investigates the current digitization approaches to photographic albums.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Daphne received a BFA in Photographic Studies and an MA in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management from Ryerson University. She works in <em>Hong Kong<\/em> as an archives manager, where she facilitates the preservation, access, and acquisition of collections. For her Ryerson MA thesis, she\u00a0surveyed practices at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England \u00a0alongside the British Museum, British Library, and National Portrait Gallery. The thesis discusses the value in researching and recording these documentation methods as an integral yet often overlooked part of museums\u2019 institutional history.
