They are very appropriate as a tag line for 35mm film. The late <a href=\"http:\/\/phsc.ca\/camera\/?p=11996\">Jack Naylor<\/a> noted in his brochure that many cameras before the Leica used 35mm film, but the 1925 marketing of the tiny Leica revolutionized photography. In fact,<a href=\"http:\/\/phsc.ca\/camera\/?p=3993\"> early Leica manuals<\/a> emphasized that you could enlarge the tiny inch by inch and a half Leica negative to a decent 8&#215;10 print or even larger.<\/p>\n<p>My friend and editor of <em>Photographic Canadiana,<\/em> Bob Lansdale, emailed me the other day that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/news\/9619099508\/leica-m7-film-camera-comes-to-an-end\">Leica M7 was discontinued in May of this year<\/a>, leaving only the <a href=\"http:\/\/us.leica-camera.com\/Photography\/Leica-M\/Leica-MP\">Leica MP<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/us.leica-camera.com\/Photography\/Leica-M\/Leica-M-A\/Details\">Leica M-A<\/a> as the remaining film versions of the famous marque.<\/p>\n<p>The Leica film SLRs and lenses in that mount disappeared years ago, victims of cost and a lack of interest. <a href=\"https:\/\/petapixel.com\/2018\/05\/30\/canon-is-now-out-of-the-film-camera-business-after-80-years\/\">Canon film cameras<\/a> have also disappeared this year according to <a href=\"https:\/\/petapixel.com\">PetaPixel<\/a>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/imaging.nikon.com\/lineup\/filmcamera\/\">Nikon<\/a> makes a couple of film cameras at the moment too.
