On last Thursday, George Dunbar sent me a link to a <a href=\"http:\/\/nationalpost.com\">National Post<\/a> article on the slow disappearance of the tiny Newfoundland village <a href=\"http:\/\/nationalpost.com\/news\/canada\/haunting-images-of-life-inside-a-depopulated-newfoundland-town\"><em>Little Bay Islands<\/em><\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/nationalpost.com\/author\/tristinhopper\">Tristin Hopper<\/a>. The article features the painting-esque photographs of Mike Parsons.<\/p>\n<p>Mike retired to his home town of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/place\/Little+Bay+Islands,+NL\/@49.6481275,-56.0708553,10z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x4b782e9406bee3df:0xf053eec0d2a8f17e!8m2!3d49.6442152!4d-55.7910859?hl=en\">Little Bay Islands<\/a> after a career in software engineering. He uses a digital filter to convert his haunting photographs to what look like oil paintings.
