Toronto. Welcome back to the fall and work/school again. Editor Bridge has worked hard to come up with this interesting and informative issue.

At the very last minute, our past president Clint called with the “hold the presses” news that ┬áMerkle, a favourite camera store in the east end of Toronto, was closing its doors. See the last page of this newsletter for details directly from the Merkle family.

We begin with an announcement that Lorne Shields (I spelled Lorne’s family name as Shield on the subject line of many of the newsletter distributions tonight – my sincere apologies to Lorne), followed by a review of our June speaker, Barry Shainbaum. A couple of photo essays cover the trunk sale this past summer and our whirlwind auction at the Yamada studio.

Photo Links, our fair and its new home, coming events, a book review, PhotoHistory XVI in Rochester, and more greet the reader.
