Newsletter 13-4

Fall is here this week and we started off our fall season with an auction last Sunday, to be followed by a very special speaker this Wednesday, and our annual fall fair next month. And this newsletter (which was mailed tonight) is another gem courtesy of our editor David Bridge.

From the left: Our cover of 13-4, Wayne Gilbert at our summer trunk sale, Special show by Tom Bochsler at the coming fall fair, a daguerreotype is discovered, This week's speaker talks about the photographer behind this portrait of an Indian gentleman, the name Kodak is 125 years old, a camera from the net, and a quartet of Ansco Memo half frame cameras from decades ago.

The ten page issue features both this month’s speaker and an article by president Mark Singer on last June’s engaging talk. There is a story of the summer’s trunk sale and this fall’s camera show which will feature the “Art of Industry” photographs of Tom Bochsler as curated by Chelsea Jeffery of the PHSC.

Bob Lansdale received covers of the 125th anniversary of the name “Kodak”, a name ¬†which changed the history of photography forever. You can enjoy these stories and more by clicking here or on the above montage. Enjoy.
